Thought it might be of some interest to those visiting our site. Just as we are actively working on the problems of what is happening in the sandy, front side of the barrier system, project partner Nancy Pau and the PRNWR are busy studying and protecting the muddy, backbarrier (marshes, tidal flats, creeks, etc) side.
